The performance of my old tablet is unreliable. When I attempted to restore a backup onto a newer tablet, I noticed that some files were missing when the original memory card was not inserted. However, I have ample storage capacity on the newer tablet. Is there a way to restore the backup from the tablet that was stored on the SD card without actually using the SD card? If possible, I would prefer an alternative method.

What selection did you make on the restore dialog for the location? You need to select Restore To: "MobileSheets Storage Location" if you want MobileSheets to store all of the files from the backup under the storage location. Also, I would advise making sure that Settings->Storage->Let MobileSheets Manage my Files is enabled.
