Possibility to repeat ChordPro section (part)?
#1
Hello,

Using MobileSheets 3.8.31 on Android, I am working through my library to add structure ({soc: Chorus}, {eoc}, {sov: Verse 1}, etc.) tags to each song.

I have already discovered that by using {chorus} the last defined chorus is printed. Using {chorus Chorus 2}, that specific chorus is printed.

Is it possible to reprint a previously defined song part using the same syntax? For example, {sop: Link}...{eop} and then later on {part Link} ?

Related question: are the ChordPro directives that MobileSheet implements documented somewhere? I could not find such a list.

Thanks and kind regards,
Frans-Willem (FWieP)

That is not supported for {sop}/{eop}. Special handling is in place for the {chorus} command in order to repeat it. The chord pro specification doesn't really mention repeating parts/verses, so that's why there is no option to repeat those.

page 102 of the manual has a list of chord pro commands that are supported: https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/M...etsPro.pdf

I don't believe the manual covers the pango markup syntax yet, as that was added more recently. You can read about that here though: https://www.chordpro.org/chordpro/chordpro_markup/

Thanks Mike! I'll stick to manually repeating verses or other non-chorus sections, when necessary.

Thanks for the pointer to the manual. The directives are there, indeed.

Could there be a typo on page 105? It says:

{start_of_part:text}, {spp} => Marks the start of a part. The text provided will be bolded.
{end_of_part}, {eop} => Marks the end of a part.

Shouldn't the start_of_part shortcut be {sop} ? In the app's implementation, it seems to be.

Thanks again,

Yes, that is a typo - thanks.
