Make navigating backwards in the library easier
#1
Hi,

would it be possible to use the back button on a mouse for navigating the library on windows? Currently, I have to click the back button on the lower right corner to navigate one page back. I think it would make navigation a bit easier if one could just press the back button on the mouse to go back.

Additionally, the keyboard shortcut Alt+LeftArrow could be used to navigate back, like it is implemented in most browsers like Firefox, Chrome, etc.
The escape key could also be useful for navigating back. It is already used to exit the currently displayed sheet music, I think it would be intuitive to also use it for navigating backwards.

Thanks!

Sure, I have made that change for version 3.8.42 as far as the X1 mouse button, as Microsoft refers to it in their API. Escape will now trigger going back to the top level for a given tab as well.

I don't think Alt + Left arrow is a really commonly used keyboard shortcut (that's the first time I'm ever hearing about that), but if more users indicate that they would get use out of that, I can consider adding it.

Thanks,
Mike

It is, especially for browsing. I second that.
