Stop Scrolling Process earlier / Showing more lyrics in the end
#1
Hello everyone,
My question is whether I can stop the scrolling process earlier so that less "empty space" is displayed at the end. The reason is that it would allow for slower scrolling overall or a better overview of the lyrics when performing.
I use mobile sheets for guitar and vocals for my own songs, i.e. txt files with lyrics and chords. These run horizontally on the Android tablet. At the end, when the scrolling stops, there are a few lines at the top, the rest of the display is empty, which maybe would not be necessary.
Many thanks for your advice!

You can manually stop the scrolling in many ways (the quick action box, display the overlay, use a pedal), but it sounds like you just need to crop your last page (if this is a PDF) to remove the white space at the end. This tutorial video covers cropping: https://youtu.be/FA8YV-SL78s

If you aren't currently using the vertical scrolling display mode, I would recommend that. There is a tutorial video here on switching display modes: https://youtu.be/V_8GXnlNfm0

From my point of view, it would also be nice and also much more confortable if there is no more lyrics (blank), the scrolling automatically stops.

That would require image analysis, significantly increasing the complexity and it would slow down the processing (especially on slower devices). It would be better if you just crop out the white space instead. There are also potentially situations where users wouldn't want it to stop (there might be intentional white space at the bottom of a page).

Thank you so much for your quick responses. I decided to use PDFs now and it really works well. In case someone finds a solution concerning txt files that might be interesting here. Kindly regards. Angela
