I see a post on this topic from 2016, but I don't think the particular MobileSheets function has changed since that time.
I'm running the current version of MobileSheets on Windows 11.
When I create a copy of a song (pdf with annotations), the changes I make in the new version via the snipping tool are visible in the original version. I understand that the reason is that there's really just one underlying pdf document.
I'd like to be able to create a complete and independent copy of the original annotated song, so that when I edit the new version, those changes are not visible in the original version.
Usually I'd want to do this to change the pagination of a multi-page song, perhaps snipping a few measures to move from one page to another.
I imagine I could use Edit Piece --> Files to duplicate / reorder / mask parts of pages in the original, but I'd prefer to leave the original untouched. (I haven't experimented to see if I could use Edit Piece --> Files on a copy without affecting the original.)
Is there some other way I could go about creating a completely "independent" version / copy of a piece? One thought is that I could export the song as an .msf file, rename the .msf externally, and re-import it (but when I try it, the top-level external naming of the .msf isn't recognized during the import process...). I presume I should NOT try duplicating the file folder for the piece within MobileSheet's databasee.
In any case, thanks in advance for your help!
