I think the root problem here probably isn't in Mobilesheets itself, honestly--just posting in case anyone has ideas:

Some time in the last month importing from google drive became very slow.

I edit a song, go to "Files", then choose "Google Drive" from the dropdown menu under the "+" sign, the "Select Files" screen appears, and then sometimes it just sits there for as long as 80 seconds until the directory contents show up.

On this device the drive app itself also has delays showing folders sometimes (though nothing as drastic,  I think?  I need to experiment more).  The network seems fine.  Drive access from other devices on the same network seems fine.

This is on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 running Android 14.

How many files and folders do you have in the root directory of your Google Drive account? It would help to know that.

Looks like 24 directories plus about 100 files in the root directory.

(Though, for what it's worth, I have mobilesheets defaulting to import from a subdirectory that typically just has one or two files in it.)

If you get the same slowdown even in a folder with only a couple of files, then something very strange is occurring. Have you rebooted your device since this problem started occurring? I had an issue similar to that where the networking speeds dropped, and rebooting the device resolved it. I just want to check this first.

I don't think it's been rebooted in a while....  So, I tried this morning, and did a number of imports, and didn't see the problem again.  Weird.

Anyway, looks like that work as a workaround at least, thanks!

That's great news! It was a problem in the OS with the network stack then, and the reboot put things back into a good state.
