Greetings. I am wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if MS doesn't support this. Here's the scenario:
I have 2 pages full of music where I only need the first bar from page 1 and the last few bars on page 2. I want to combine these 2 areas on one page.
I used the highlighter to apply a white block on areas that I don't need i.e. most of page 1.
I used the Snipping tool to copy the area from page 2. I then changed to the Select tool and tried to paste the snipped area into the white area on page 1. As soon as I clicked to position the Select Tool where I wanted to paste the snipped area, it selected the white block and would not give me an option to Paste.
I then pasted the snipped area on top of bar 1 on page 1, then tried to drag it down into the white area. The snipped area disappeared under the white block.
I then went into Layers and found the snipped area labelled as Image 1 at the bottom of the layer list. 

My question is this: With Image 1 at the bottom of the layer list, shouldn't Image 1 appear on top of the white block (shown as a Highlight in the layer list)? It appears other annotations work this way so perhaps it's a limitation of the Snipping process?

How about just cropping the pages as required and use vertical scroliing mode to have the remaining page fragments displayed on one screen?

Please be aware that when using the snipping the tool, the image that is generated is going to be embedded in the underlying PDF. It will not be stored in the database, as storing raw image data in the database would bloat the file considerably and could potentially lead to performance issues. However, embedded PDF annotations will always be positioned underneath annotations that MobileSheets is drawing on top of the page - there is no way around this, as the PDF page is rendered first, and then annotations are drawn on top. So MobileSheets always puts the pasted snipped image underneath any other annotations so that the user understands how this is going to look when they save their changes. If you need to white out part of the page in combination with using the snipping tool and do not want to use the "Cut" option with the snipping tool, then first create a white square annotation, and then embed that annotation into the page. This will write the write square into the PDF. Now snip and paste, and it will be placed on top of that white square, as both annotations will be in the PDF itself.

Thanks Mike. I'm not sure what you mean by "and then embed that annotation into the page". If I create a white square, then try to paste another object (snip, text, line etc), into the white square, when I click in the white square, MS selects the white square and doesn't offer the Paste option. I'm suspecting your "embed" step is kind of like merging a layer into another in photo editing but I'm not sure if/how this can be done in MS. Can you elaborate please?

You have to long press on an open space on the page without any annotations there in order to paste. I may decide to add a paste option on the edit bar as I think this is confusing to users in certain situations.

As far as embedding the white square, you'd have to tap the three dots at the top right and tap "Embed Annotations". Select that you only want to process the current page. This will take all of the annotations created in MobileSheets and save them into the underlying PDF, modifying it in the process (I just want you to be aware of this). So they will become harder to manage/edit after that point, but it will resolve this issue with using the snipping tool.

That might be a nice enhancement Mike.
Once again, I thank you for your great support. I tried what you suggested (although there's no 3-dot menu; I used the Embed Annotations icon instead) and was able to achieve what I needed.
