Book Mode Using WIFI
#1
Hello,
Discouraged by the frequent disconnections in Bluetooth, I decided to try to connect my two devices using WIFI. After hours of reading the manual, I keep failing. My two devices are correctly connected to the WIFI and the network connection is excellent. They're also both in the same group. When I click on DIRECT CONNECT, I see a different IP address on each device. On the follower device, I copy the same address as the server, but I get an error message. However, if I click on NEW LEADER and then OK on both sides, the connection seems to be established as I see the DISCONNECT button appear. But BOOK MODE doesn't work, even though it has been selected on both sides. I'm going round in circles...
Is there a tutorial independent of the user manual, or a video that clearly explains all the steps to make BOOK MODE work in WIFI? Thanks in advance.

You do not want to tap "New Leader" on each device - they would both then be waiting for a connection from another device. You have to make one the leader, then connect to that leader from the other device. What type of devices are you using? If you cannot connect over WiFi, that means something is blocking the TCP connection between the devices. To rule out the router being the problem, try making your phone a WiFi hotspot and connect both tablets to that. If they can then connect without issue, the problem is your router. If it's a mesh router, disable the mesh functionality.

You've clearly understood my mistake. I've corrected my approach and now the connection is fine. The only thing that doesn't work is ‘Reconnect devises at startup’.
