Auto-scrolling with different number of measures per page.

Thumbs Up
Hello:
I am a choir director and I am a newbie to using Mobile Sheets.
In my case, I bought a foot pedal to turn pages directly via bluetooth and it works perfectly.

But I love the auto-scrolling option to keep my hands free and I've seen many musicians use it.

I have tried auto-scrolling both ‘Scroll and Pause’ and ‘Scroll Entire Song in Fixed Time’.
These solutions are ideal when we have the same number of measures per page.

However, when we sing with orchestras or bands, we have pages with different numbers of measures, so the option to wait the same time on all pages does not work.

I have searched a solution in the manual, read the forums, tried some features like ‘Scroll amount % of screen’ but I can't find a solution.

Also, on long tracks there are quite a few tempo changes which makes it more complicated.
Is there a way to manage this?
I had thought that maybe the easiest way is to manually record the page turning changes so that it memorises the tempos but I don't know if this is possible.

Thank you!

Some users have asked for a way to record page turns as a way to use that for automatic scrolling, so that's something I will support at some point, but it's not currently supported. As far as options, I really only see two options:

1) You can use pedal scroll actions to scroll the pages when needed. This should work in your scenario as you are controlling when the scrolling occurs, so the varying tempos and page lengths aren't a problem
2) Switch the pedal to start/stop automatic scrolling. You'd then have to manually stop and start the scrolling (set the time before scrolling starts to 0 to avoid a delay) to account for sections with varying tempos or page lengths.

Hi Mike:

Until the page turnings can be recorded I will use the foot pedal as you explain it.
MobileSheets is a great app.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Wouldn't it be an option that I could provide a "hint" in each pdf's page that would the app know at what time the page should be turned? Or even better: Start a "page turn recording mode" in which it is recorded when I manually turn the page and then is reused when I run the auto scroll?

I am considering supporting an option to turn pages at specific times during playback, but haven't had time to work on it.
