Import songs using Companion
#1
I never use the companion because I don't need it for my personal workflow. But these days one of my bandmates who uses the companion needed support, so I had to try it. My beginner question: the only way that I could find to import single song files from a Win10 PC to an Android tablet via companion was connecting the tablet and drag & drop files from an Explorer window into the Companion window. Is this the intended way to go or did I miss something? In the import menu of the Companion I could not find something like import - local file.

I didn't add an explicit import dropdown option but I'm going to, as it seems to cause confusion for some users.

That's great, thank you.
I think it would help if the entries in the import menu would be as similar as possible.

For this I used the Batch Import.

I created a folder and put one song in it. This worked.

What I did find was that with images such as name1.jpg and name2.jpg, they did not link together. They made 2 entries.

Really pleased with the way Android version works with Kaorg Pa4X.

name1.jpg and name2.jpg should certainly be joined. If the title was three letters or less, then the matching would not work though. So I will need to know explicitly what the name was that didn't work.

Mike

Apologies, this is my fault, I had a typo so names did not match.

However when I added them on the tablet, they did join even with typo.
