Search criteria not displayed
#1
Hi
Search conditions saved in MS Collections cannot be used in the companion app (cannot be displayed).

Hi Mike

I will add a photo and video of the explanation, as the previous explanation was a bit clunky.
It would be nice if saved search criteria could also be used in the companion app.

Additional information.
Search conditions added in the companion app are displayed in the companion app and not reflected in MS, and search conditions created in MS are not reflected in the companion app.
In other words, search conditions seem to be independent of the companion app and MS.

I would be more grateful if they were synchronized.

That is difficult and will cause problems for users that have started setting up filters in the companion app (as their filters would then be overriden). This would also mean that any changes made on the companion app would have to be transferred back to the tablet, and users may not expect that. I'd rather keep them separate unless a lot more users indicate that they would prefer them to be synchronized. If more users want this, then I can make the necessary changes, but this will cause another incompatibility between versions, forcing everyone to update the companion app and tablet app at the same time.

I could also make this optional functionality, so that users that want it synchronized can have it synchronized, but it still requires work and creates the incompatibility. So I'd prefer to wait until I have other changes that are going to force an incompatibility.

Hi Mike
Thank you for the explanation. Since the number of conditions is small and they are not changed frequently, the problem can be solved by setting the search conditions set on the tablet in the companion app as well.

Hi Mike.

I tried to create a search condition in the companion.

1 I saved the search condition, and although the saved name is there, the contents do not appear.

2 When I close the companion app and restart it, the name of the search condition disappears.

I'm using Windows 11 Home 23H2
It's a store app. V4.1.2
