Chordpro rendering differs between Android and iPadOS
#1
Primary tablet:
MobileSheets v3.9.7 on Samsung SM-X210, SDK 34, Android 14

Secondary tablet:
MobileSheets v3.9.10 on Apple iPad Air 3, iPadOS 18.2

Hello,

When using my 11" Android tablet with an iPad Air 3 as linked devices in book mode, the pagecount differs between both.

In the attached photo, both devices have the same song loaded, and MobileSheets' display settings are identical. Note the total page count in the upper right corner (1/3 and 2/4).

The song is attached to this post, too (in ChordPro format).

Question: is this normal behavior when using devices with different screen dimensions?
Or should MobileSheets keep ChordPro rendering consistent across devices, thus allowing to combine Android and Apple?

Thanks, kind regards,
FWieP

Yes, that's perfectly normal. If you want identical rendering across devices, you have to use the "Page Size" setting which is a recent addition. Load your song, tap the center of the screen to bring up the overlay, tap the A at the top right and tap "Set Page Size". You can set it to the resolution of the device that has a lower resolution, and this will ensure both tablets render identically. MobileSheets will just enlarge/shrink the text as needed to force the page to match the specified dimensions. You can set this as the default for all songs, and apply it to all songs in the entire library if you want consistent rendering for every file.
