Lenovo P12 12,7 Good for Mobilesheet
#1
I’m looking to buy a tablet for my music, and I was considering the Lenovo P12 (12.7-inch). Does it work well with MobileSheets, and is it the right size? Or would you recommend another tablet under 300-400 euros?

I use Lenovo P12 tablet with MobileSheets and for me it works well - in landscape orientation and with automatic scrolling it is very good for my bad eyes.

Have you used the P12 in portrait mode?

Is this tablet bright enough?

Thanks,

My bandmates and I love the P12 so much we all got one. It's pretty much the perfect affordable tablet for Mobile Sheets.

However, like all tablets except e-ink, it's difficult to read in direct sunlight. In all other situations it's fine.

I use mine in portrait 99% of the time.

Yo también uso la Tab P12 y anda excelente. Soy pianista e incluso en partituras para piano se llega a ver muy bien todo. Recomiendo  Big Grin

Is this tablet bright enough? Yes, I find it easier to see the music notes than the original paper notes.

Thanks,

Yes, it's fine. The pen handling is awesome, Mobilesheets automatically switches to annotation mode when you approach the screen with the pen.
As a general tablet I find it mediocre, but for Mobilesheets it's quite good.

I am starting my Mobilesheets journey (having lugged books for many many years) and went with the P12... I am really happy with it. The price point is great and seems to work very well with Mobilesheets.

I did have an issue with the Android status bar not disappearing when in fullscreen mode (which was very annoying in landscape orientation).  For those running into this, it seems like this combination of settings takes care of the issue:

- In settings / display settings, check the "Dim the Navigation Bar", "Fullscreen Mode" and "Hide Window Decor" options.

After doing this, for lead sheet playing, while the music is smaller, I am able to do a two page up setup which is very handy.

I don't use it outdoors so can't comment on direct sunlight situations, but for indoors, its more than bright enough .. much better than books + additional lighting that I was accustomed to.

I use a Lenovo Tab P12 and love it.  As my primary MobileSheets tablet, the cost was not bad.  I wanted a 2nd tablet but that was where the cost was a little prohibitive since it was just going to be used as a 2nd "monitor" for Mobilesheets.  Instead, I bought the new Onn 12.1 tablet from Walmart.  The screen is slightly smaller but not noticeable to me and the cost was better.  They work great together.
