tl;dr The imported page displays, until I insert it into an existing piece.

I use annotations extensively, but I wanted to update one page on my desktop and insert it back into my piece. I expected the newly inserted page to display the content, accordng to the manual and forum posts, but the inserted page is blank. 

Editing > Files > Rearrange pages > Add File

I also get a blank page if I try to Insert File from Library. (The same page displays well when imported as a standalone piece.) I have tried both PNG and PDF format.

I understand that I could export the current piece with all the annotations, but I often need to change them during rehearsal.

I did make the change with a kludgy annotation, but I'm hoping for a better way.

If you go to Settings->Display Settings->Render Preference, switch to "Speed", then load that song, does it display as blank? If so, the problem is that the PDF library used to merge PDFs has a conflict with your file. If the file is rebuilt using an application like Adobe Acrobat, that would likely fix the issue, otherwise I would have to submit the file to the company that makes the PDF library to have them fix the bug.

Thanks for your answer. I edited in GIMP and then converted files from XCF.

to PNG: ImageMagick 7.1.1-43     

to PDF: Ghostscript 10.04.0 
  p2.pdf (Size: 172.03 KB / Downloads: 4)

The resulting inserted page is still blank, after I change the Render Preference to "Speed".

I edited a song, tapped the page order, tapped the thumbnail next to the last image, tapped "Insert File", selected your p2.pdf, and it shows up just fine. The page is not blank. Is there something I'm missing?

I also tested this on multiple devices (Android 9 and Android 14) and it looks fine on both.

The inserted SAMPLE page shows up. I must have corrupted the ORIGINAL page. Thank you for your support.
