Companion on Ubuntu - launcher failure
#1
Hi,
fantastic to see companion on Linux... now I can survive W10 going out of mantance!

I have installed it as flatpak. It works from flatpak run....

but, in a reasonabully fresh install / update of Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS, from the launcher, I get an error message
Quote:Failed to launch "MobileSheets Companion"
Failed to change directory "/app/bin" (No such file or directory)

I'm not sure if that's something with the installation or mobilesheets?
I have installed Bottles (wine) as flatpak and that launches from the launcher.

I also did "sudo flatpak repair" and got the message

Code:
Remote mobilesheetscompanion-origin for ref app/org.flatpak.mobileSheetsCompanion/x86_64/master is disabled
not sure what that means... but it didn't fix the problem.

not a blocker! Great stuff.
cheers.

Take a look at this post: https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/f...l#pid52598

This is the line I'm referring to: I looked for the desktop file and deleted the line Path=/app/bin

I haven't released an update since the problem was identified, as I've been working on some changes for abc files that has turned into a massive project (unfortunately).

great - but I can't find the .desktop file in /usr/share/applicatins or .local/share/applicatins!

maybe I'll wait for the update. not a show stopper!
