Mac to iPad sync
#1
I've been using MobileSheets on my iPad to setup my group weekly set lists, then emailing the titles to my Mac and forwarding that to my group. I have a copy of MS on my Mac, but haven't used it yet.

So that I'm clear, can I do all my organizing on my Mac and have that reflected on my iPad? I use Dropbox to transfer only new or updated song sheets from my Mac to iPad, then delete them from Dropbox. Do I have to keep the entire library on Dropbox, or is storing them on my Mac MS all that's needed and when changes are made, it's reflected on the iPad?

You can certainly manage everything on the Mac if you want. I would advise using the "Sync Library" feature to then push changes from the Mac either directly to the iPad over WiFi, or to a cloud folder (and then you have to sync to that same cloud folder on the iPad to pull down the changes). Nothing about this is automatic though - you have to manually synchronize the changes from the Mac to the iPad.

Where can I read the steps to Sync Library over WiFi from the Mac to the iPad? I would also have to first get everything that's on my iPad over to MS on my Mac, in tact with audio files, setlists, libraries.

For the initial transfer, use a library backup file (https://youtu.be/VQm_vEBWnX4). That will let you backup the iPad and restore that backup on the Mac.

A full tutorial video on the library sync feature will be released in a few days. In short:

1) Tap the three dots at the top right corner of the library screen on each device, and tap "Sync Library"
2) Set the Mac as the "Server" and the iPad as the "Client".
3) Set the sync type to "Update Client".
4) Click Start on the server (the Mac)
5) When the Mac device shows up on the client (iPad), tap it, then tap "Connect"

The sync will then proceed.

I did a backup my first Library on the iPad to Dropbox, then Restored that backup on the Mac. I switched to the second Library, and did the Backup and Restore again. Worked perfectly, THANK YOU Mike. Next will be a test of the Sync Library operation in a couple of days, I have a rehearsal Wednesday and don't want to cause any problems.
