Nudge tool with stamps
#1
Hi Mike,
quite often when using the stamp tool I will carefully place the stamp but when I lift the stylus the stamp will often shift from the position I selected.  Usually upwards and to left.  I'm pretty sure I've seen others mention this happening and IIRC it was something to do with the resolution...
Anyhow, when it happens I then have to use the selection tool so I can nudge the stamp back to where I want it.

Would it be possible to to have the nudge tool automatically opened when placing stamps so we don't need to swap between selection and stamp tools?
<edit> It might also be useful to have it appear with the text tool too. </edit>

The only time that would happen is if you have the page scaling set to "Fullscreen". You should never see it shift otherwise.

As far as your question, no, that's not really possible, because the nudge tool only operates on what has been selected, and a stamp is not automatically selected just by you creating it. I don't support a selection state with most tools, as it would interfere with other parts of the logic in the code. I generally only allow things to be selected when using the stamp tool. You can enable the option to automatically select stamps after they are created though, which would then let you immediately nudge them into place if needed. You'd then just need to switch back to the stamp tool to place the next stamp (which you can do with a two finger tap).

Hi Mike,
page scaling is set to "Fit Screen".

Not sure if the following is relevant:
Page alignment is "Top"
Always Show Title Bar is "Off"
Show Caption in the Title Bar is "Off"
Render Preference is "Quality"
Device Orientation Lock is "Off"
Hide the Nav bar is "Off"
Fullscreen Mode is "Off"
Hide Window Decor is "Off"

I'll try to remember to note how aggressively the chart is cropped when it happens and see if that's relevant.

As for the rest of your response, it makes sense the way you explain it.  Thanks.
