Until yesterday Mobilesheets just worked very fine for many years.
Now upon startup, it keeps asking for a DB backup (because it's older than 30 days)
Whatever the answer (yes or No)  Mobilesheets crashes after 20-30 secs.
During these 20-30s I can navigate, display a score but then nothing

I'm on Windows 11 24H2 (8G RAM)

I don't think the library backup notification has anything to do with the crashing. However, you can verify this by going to C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Packages\41730Zubersoft.MobileSheets_ys1c8ct2g6ypr\LocalState and renaming "default.xml" to "default_backup.xml" and then restart MobileSheets. It will then start up with a clean slate and it should not display the backup reminder (although all the settings will be reverted to their default). Let me know if this stops the crash. If not, then we may need to have you backup your data and reinstall MobileSheets to see if that resolves whatever is happening on your device. Also, please confirm that you've updated to version 3.9.12 which is the latest.

SUCCESS !
renamed default.xml as advised and restarted sucessfully. I was also able to create a backup as usual.
I'm using V 3.9.12.

I'm glad to hear that. If you can send me the renamed file (send it to mike@zubersoft.com), I'd like to take a look at it to see if I can reproduce the crash somehow to ensure it's fixed in the next update.
