MIDI Setup in Song
#1
Is there a easy and quick way to see which song have a MIDI command added and which one does not.  To open the hundreds and hundreds of song sheets one by one to check and see which one I missed adding a MIDI command is not that practical.

At the moment, I do not support a filter for that. You can modify the song title formatting to list MIDI commands in the title or caption, and then you could scroll through and identify which songs don't have a MIDI command. There are other approaches you could use as well, such as specifically filtering for a MIDI command in the title and/or caption after making that change, then select all those songs, add a new piece of metadata, then filter on that metadata with the dropdown set to "Exclude", and it would only then display songs without a MIDI command.

Alternatively, you can run queries against the database itself (which is more complex than it sounds) to identify which songs have MIDI commands and which do not.

I was looking at this from a another angle, but same issue.

Whether I had set the reference number in Pa4X Songbook.

I came to the conclusion that simplest way was modifying song title.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I guess I can add those songs that I have added a MIDI command to a specific Collections or Genre etc. to filter them out going forward but is there a way to find which ones I have done already.  Do you have an example SQL Query that I can try to run against my database using Microsoft Access to try and find the name of the songs that have a MIDI command added.

Thanks again for all your help.

I was able to create an Excel file for the MIDI table and one for the Song Table from the Mobile Sheets .db file. The MIDI table have all the songs that I have added a MIDI command so I was trying to cross reference it to the Songs table but I cannot find the SongID that is in the MIDI table in the Songs table.  There is a SongID in the Songs table but it's all 0 whereas in the MIDI table, there is an actual number for each song.  There is also a ID in both table but don't think they are linked in anyway.  What I'm trying to do is to get the Song Title from the Songs table for each entry in the MIDI table but I cannot find a field that is in both table that I can use to cross reference.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can do this.

Thanks.

The SongID field in the MIDI table links to the ID field in the Songs table.

Thanks for the reply, got it.  Also found it in the Files Table.
Also, is MIDI command a field that you can select to add to the song's Caption format as I don't see a field with that name in the list to select.  The ones that I can see are Setlist, Collections, Artist, Duration, Custom, Custom 2, Tempo etc. but nothing that have the word MIDI in it.

As per your suggestion above "You can modify the song title formatting to list MIDI commands in the title or caption" but I'm not sure how to add the MIDI command to the song Caption format.  Can you help me with some instructions or clarify that a bit.

Thanks.
