Turning pages with pedal of e-piano
#1
Hello out there,
I want to turn pages via MIDI by pressing a pedal of my e-piano.
Piano: Kawai ES-920
Tablet: iPad pro 13'' (M4), iOS 18.3
The funny thing is that it currently DOES work fine with ForScore, and it DID work with MobileSheets on my previous iPad Air (M2), which I returned because I upgraded to iPad Pro (M4).
But now I cannot find it anymore. Perhaps I messed it up somehow. Unfortunately i cannot find it in the manual.
Any sugestions?
Thanks in advance

Try plugging it in and going to the Touch & Pedal Settings, then Pedal Actions, select the action and press the corresponding pedal.

If the pedal is sending messages over MIDI, then you can't use Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Pedal Actions for that. Instead, you need to go to Settings->MIDI Settings->Configure MIDI Connections, establish the connection with the keyboard first (tap the input and output ports), then go to Settings->MIDI Settings->MIDI Actions. You can then tap the +, set the action you want to trigger, then tap the MIDI listen icon which is the last icon on the right side. Now press the pedal and see what message is received. Hopefully it's something like a control change message with a fixed value. Let me know what messages you see and I'll do my best to help.

Thank you, this solved my problem. I have overseen the MIDI listen icon (see attachment, perhaps usefull for other members as well) and that‘s what I came over with my previous iPad.

Sorry, exactly this didn‘t work for me, but thank you anyway. Meanwhile I got it solved. Regards, Thomas
