I use "Vertical Scrolling" in Portrait mode for all pieces I play. And usually, I want to turn full pages at a time. But there is one piece in particular that I want to only "use half-page turns". Whenever I play that piece, I have to be sure to remember to switch the Global Settings->Use half-page turns, and then remember to disable that setting when playing anything else.
Probably from a UX perspective the "Use half-page turns" checkbox can be moved from "Global Settings" to "Default Settings", and add an override in the "Piece Settings" section below it.

Yes I get that, but the problem is that "Use half-page turns" is only available as a global setting. There is no ability to set "use half-page turns" for only this piece.
The only setting that I see as being available for pieces specifically is "Display Mode".
joshlemer is asking for the ability to change the "Use half page turns" setting per song when using the Vertical Scrolling display mode. This is separate from the half page display mode. This is something I can consider, but it will require database changes, UI changes and logic changes. So it's not a trivial thing and will have to be planned for appropriately (when other database changes are occurring, as this creates incompatibilities between versions).

In the former, you get half pages alternately replacing the top and bottom halves of the page. In the latter (which is my preferred mode), you get a smooth panning down, half a page at a time, so that the bottom half slides up to the top, and the top half of the next page slides up from the bottom. I am not personally a fan of the former's behaviour, I find it distracting/counterintuitive).
