My proposal is to have the option to have page turns of different lengths available at the same time.
I.E. you might have the default turn set to half page, but for a specific song you might benefit from half page turns when going forward, and full page turns when going back. Or the need might be the opposite with full page turns going forward being more appropriate BUT a half page turn back being more useful.
To explain, I recently started using half page turns (yeah, I know, I'm a bit slooowww ) and they are, as I'm sure all the rest of you know quite well, a truly excellent feature.
However, one occasional problem has become evident: when on a second, or subsequent, page and I happen to need to turn back for a DC or DS (I can imagine a long repeat could also run into this) and the target point is more than a half page turn back. This requires at least 2 presses of the pedal. This can take too long when there seems to be a mandatory gap between presses (0.5 sec?)
Now I know I could fix this with a link point, but trying to touch the screen while playing is impossible* unless there is a long enough rest, in which case there wouldn't really be a problem anyway.
* I might be able to get away with it on my tuba, but on my 'bone it is pretty much out of the question; I can't just take a hand off the instrument while playing (and I certainly can't lift my foot that high ).

I suggest you try turning pages with a bluetooth ring or a small bluetooth device on your index finger (using it with a thumb). I've done this even as a pianist (bigband) and it should be no problem to do with the "free" hand on a tuba or even with either hand on a bone.

Just a few ideas how I deal with long repeats, D.S., codas, ... There are a few options and I choose for each piece the one, which is working best:
- sometimes it is sufficient to place the half page turn position at the right position for a half page turn back to be sufficient.
- I find it easier to always go forward, so I change the page order and repeat pages. If e.g. a repeat goes back from page 3 to 2 I would put the page order to 1, 2, 3, 2, 3.
- I defined two new tap actions. Tapping top left always goes one full page back and tapping top right always goes one full page forward
- If nothing helps I rearrange the score in a photo editor to "eliminate" the need for going back.
Maybe some of my ideas are of use for you?
And as a last idea: As far as I know there is a setting to operate link points with the foot pedal. MobileSheets chooses automatically if it follows the link point or goes forward. I remember trying this, but for me in the end I found my solutions from above easier.

You can go to Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Pedal Actions and set the debounce to "Disabled" if you don't want there to be a delay between pedal presses.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your suggestions:
Point 1 - DC's probably won't work with this idea, also some repeats and DS's go back to the first line - these are the primary ones I'm trying to resolve.
Point 2 - I recall trying this in the past for something else and discovered there were problems, BUT I wasn't chasing this particular issue so I'll revisit it to see.
Point 3 - Can't tap while playing.
Point 4 - I'd rather avoid this approach.
I'll investigate pedal operated link points - didn't realise this was a possibility.

Thanks Mike - while I knew the delay was for debounce, I didn't realise I could disable it - might be enough. It's certainly worth a try.

Hi all,
just an update for those that are interested.
So far: - BRX suggestion of using a "ring" or similar BT device doesn't really help - FWIW I tried exploring this some months ago and couldn't find an affordable one that I could use - turns out the pedal is the best solution for me.
- Disappointingly as this would have been ideal, trying to use link points with the pedal has been an exercise in frustration* and I have abandoned it as far too complex to set up and get working properly. It's far better to:
- Set the page order to include multiple instance of needed pages, and crop appropriately - takes a little setup time but is ultimately easier and faster to configure than link points when combined with the pedal. Maybe a 4 switch pedal would solve this but usually I can't look at the pedal and I already get lost with just two

- For those times where setting up page order is over the top for a relatively simple piece, setting the debounce to 0 seems to minimise the issue.
I'm still not convinced that having options for half forward and full back (or vice-versa) page turns wouldn't be helpful, but there is now no pressing need on my part for it to be done.
Thanks everyone.
* My primary test piece included DS and To Coda directives where the DS was on the first half of the second page, the Segno was on the first half of the first page, the To Coda was also on the first half of the first page and the Coda was, of course, on the last half of the second page. I tried to use 2 link points, one from the DS to the Segno and one from the To Coda to the Coda. No matter which pedal settings I tried to use the link points seemed to take priority over the page turns that needed to happen first.

Well, I certainly don't want to argue if my suggestion is useful for you or not. That's for you to decide.
But FWIW I just want to mention that I (before I switched to face recognition) for quite some time used one of the bluetooth clickers you can get very cheap from Aliexpress or even Amazon (something like https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005006996638025.html ) tied it with a rubber band to my left index finger and clicked both buttons for paging forward and back with the left thumb.
It worked quite well for me as a pianist and I don't see why this shouldn't work even better for your instruments where you certainly don't need the fingers as much as I.

No argument intended mate, just keeping you up to date.
FWIW I just purchased one of those clickers you linked me to, but with my Onyx Boox I haven't had any success at all with the "phone camera remote" style remote. Not sure why and I've tried several.
I can certainly see how your fingers are quite busy, but surprisingly enough less of a trombonists fingers are available than you might think. I shall have to experiment some - I suspect I might get away with attaching it to a slide tube, or perhaps one of the slide braces. Always assuming I can get it to work at all.
Thank you.

Yes, it all comes down to the connectivity of the devices. Maybe I was lucky that the first remote clicker I tested worked well. This was first on a Sony Xperia Android tablet baakc then, still worked when I switched to a Win 10 Surface Pro and Surface Studio and even when I switched to an iPad after that (but there I only got one button of the same remote to work, which sufficed since I for 99% needed to go forward, but there you go with diffent connectivity issues).
