You could just tap in a corner, or the top or bottom to instantly start annotating if you want a single action for that. You'd just need to change Settings->Touch & Pedal Settings->Touch Actions.

Where are you seeing a reference to "Database"? I'm not sure if you are talking about import/export settings, or backup/restore library, but in none of those should there be a reference to the database. There is a separate "Restore Automatic Database Backup", but that is designed for error recovery only in certain scenarios, as it will completely replace the active database file. This can cause major problems if users do that without understanding the consequences, as it will not handle any deltas between the current and selected database file. It's not a minor action to do this - it can have very severe consequences with no option for recovery if the user didn't create a full library backup file beforehand. It's only there if users want to roll back the database file and understand the consequences for doing so. I would not recommend using that to most users. This feature also only operates on the current active library - you can't select backups from a different library.

As you can see on my screen shot, (Android) ask to specify "Restore to" (Restaurer vers)
It do not exist on Windows, and I didn't ask to my friends about Ipad (Apple)

It is exactly in this windows I suggested to specify the "destination" librairy, to avoid errors.

It is another error, probably translation (?) : in frenche you wrote "Restauration de la bibliothèque Mobile Sheets"
It have to be : "Restauration d'une bibliothèque" (Mobile sheets is not necessary) if I try in English : " Restoration of a library", not " Restoration of the library"

I can look into having an option to pick the library to restore to if more than one library has been added under Settings->Library->Switch Library. I would basically have to change the code to temporarily switch to that library, then process the restore normally, then switch back to the previous library, as switching libraries has a significant impact on how the data is loaded and cached. I'll have to see how problematic this is to add during the restore. The current "Restore to" dropdown has nothing to do with what library you are restoring to. It's telling you where on the file system files will be extracted to. This is to deal with scenarios where users want to override where files are going to be placed. If you select "Original file location", MobileSheets will do its best to try to extract files to the same location they were referenced at in the database. If this is not possible, then it falls back to putting them in the storage location. The option to restore to the default storage location updates the database so that every file is extracted to the storage location and is referenced there. This is a problem for users that might have audio files managed in their own folder, for example, hence why there is a toggle for this. That option only exists on Android due to the restrictive file permissions on Windows and iOS.

In English, the title is just "MobileSheets Library Restore". I don't want it to be "Restore a Library" or "Restore the Library". I'm fine with just "Restore Library". So let me know what the translation should look like in that case. I'll update the English translation as well.

Thanks,
Mike

I know, English let more float translations.

In French it is confusing.

"The librairy" is not egal to Restor "ONE librairy".
At the moment, translartions let think we restore "all"...

In French, by exemple, "synch from" is totally opposed to "sync to" and suggest sync have a directions, in addition, "synch with" (literally) is the onli solution to let a choice for the direction "To" and "From". Confused

Sorry, French is complex.
