(Note to Mike: i have collected a few feature ideas in the previous months, hence the multiple new topics opened by me, i hope it is okay that i kept one feature idea per forum thread)
A funny idea would be to be able to
1) either hide chords from a .cho file completely
2) or collect them and display them at the beginning / the end of a song
This would be helpful for songs which i have already played 2592023 times.
I remember those chords then inside out already. If i am confident enough i could go with option (1), or i could choose (2) to quickly look them up before starting the performance as a quick reminder.
Advantage: they're not cluttering the lyrics, and - since it is only a formatting feature - it is still a nondestructive solution.

You can open the text display settings and tap the eye icon next to the chord size slider (on the right side). That will hide all chords from being shown.

Hi Mike,
that is nice, i didn't know that, thanks!
Maybe a quick toggle button/display would make sense, where it is highlighting that something is hidden or visible without entering the menu.
I like that it is saved on a per-song-basis.
In case my (2)-suggestion is not interesting for you, feel free to close this thread.
Thank you!

I'm certainly open to suggestions about how to handle that. I'm not sure if you are envisioning a new icon somewhere you could tap to see the visibilities for all the different ChordPro elements without seeing any of the other settings, or something else entirely.
I'm not sure about #2. I'm going to be doing something similar with chord diagrams with the next update (for users that enable chord diagrams), but actually just printing out all the chord letters seems like it would just be chaotic in most instances.

I think the idea is to print the chord
diagrams, just like ChordPro.

Well that is certainly planned then (I'm trying to support both printing them at the bottom of pages, or using a collapsible scrollable overlay for users that may want to look up chord sometimes but not have it change the page layouts).
