Hi. 
When I turn the page I tap on the bottom right of the screen. Unfortunately the screen overlay often comes up (the little square one with about 5 options including metronome and performance mode lock) it's really annoying. Is there any mat to stop this happening?
Can you change where you tap on the screen to bring up these various hidden panels?

Go to settings-> Touch and Pedal settings-> Touch actions 
There you can enable/disable various Touch settings

What you are looking for is to disable (or move) the Quick Action Box. It's the last entry after 3fingertouch.

You might prefer to just tap the middle right of the screen (or swipe it); that means that others that might advise you don't need to know that you have moved it.

Beware the centre icon in the the quick action box; when that is orange, you have enabled performance mode and several operations are inhibited until you deselect it. It gets everyone at some point.
