I'm not expecting there's a solution to this, but I thought I'd reach out just in case.
My Galaxy tab just stopped charging yesterday and we've tried the usual port cleaning, but that does not restore it. My only solution may be a hard reset (and my tablet doesn't have wireless charging).
Unfortunately I haven't backed up my Mobile Sheets in 8 months and I've put a lot more on it. So I'm really mad at myself for not backing it up months ago.
Anyway I only have 10% battery left and no way to charge as far as I can tell. I've not noticed before how much battery that mobile sheets backing up takes on my device, but I assume it's plenty more than 10%. The last backup was 140,350 KB.
Looks like I'm screwed and I'm about to loose everything I've put on mobile sheets in the last 8 months.
So, I'm posting this in case anyone has a miracle solution. FYI I'm somewhat technologically challenged.
Thanks,
Brenda

The best thing to do would be to go to Settings->Storage, check "Expose Database", connect your tablet to your PC over USB, then use Windows File Explorer to copy the contents of /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro/files over to a safe folder on your PC. Copy mobilesheets.db first, as that file is the most important and has your entire library (minus the song files) in it. Then you can copy all the other files and folders next. If you changed Settings->Storage->Set the MobileSheets Storage Location, you would need to copy that folder as well. You can use Settings->Backup and Restore->Export Settings if you want to quickly generate a .mcf file containing all the application settings so you can quickly restore that as well (copy the .mcf file to your PC after generating it). You can leave the screen off while the files are being copied over to the PC which should help the battery last longer.
There is some guidance about this problem here: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyTab/comme...nt_charge/
The first post says this:
Just wanted to write this here for anyone who has this issue in the future - if your battery dies, it does take a few minutes for it to start charging again. If you still notice that symbol after some time - hold down the power and down volume key for about 10 seconds. The symbol will disappear. Hold down the power button again and it should either vibrate or turn on - either way it'll start charging again.
I have no idea if that is relevant at all for the problem you are having. Another person said this:
I've had this happen to a Tab before. What solved it for me was to plug the original cable and charger in, and whilst plugged in, go into Download Mode, just Google how to do this for your model. Once in Download Mode, press and hold the power button and volume down buttons and it should eventually restart, and with a bit of luck, resume charging

Thanks so much, Mike. I'll try that, but I just realized it probably won't work, since, to connect to my computer USB, I would have to use the same charging port on my device that seems to not be working (my whole problem to begin with), so I'm unlikely to be able to connect to my computer at all!

Have you tried a different charging cable?

Or try putting the exposed db to a cloud service if you can do it. As Mike said, mobilesheets.db is the one that contains most of the important data and changes.

Yes, the priority should be getting the mobilesheets.db file somewhere safe. So if you can at least upload that file to the cloud, it would preserve your library. You would just have to replace all the PDFs and such at a later point. As long as your device is lower than Android 11, any file management app on the device should be able to get access to the location I listed.

Yes, thanks, I've tried several different cables and adaptors, all of which usually work and still work on other devices.
