Newbie error with copying annotations
#1
Hi all
New user of MobileSheets having used ForScore under iOS. So far I’m really impressed, and have purchased the iOS, Android and Windows versions. I am particularly impressed by the support and involvement of the developer here and his efforts in improving the app. If, as it seems, chord diagrams support is added to chordpro files, that would be fantastic!

Anyway, the main reason for my first post is just to highlight a mistake I made when trying to copy an annotation. I used the ‘snipping tool’ via the icon with the scissors and found I couldn’t paste the annotation. A quick look in the manual made me realise that I just needed to use the ‘selection’ tool (the arrow) to select the annotation and then I could easily paste the annotation elsewhere.

Many thanks to Mike for developing a great (multi-platform) application

Kind regards

Thanks for posting your experience and tip for other new users! The snipping tool only works with PDFs (I'm not sure if you might have used a chord pro file based on your comment about chord diagrams). I am actively working on the chord pro additions (chord grids, chord diagrams, etc) for the next major update. It's going to take a bit, as I'm also juggling trying to fix some issues on Windows (I'm testing out replacing the rendering framework with the same one used on Android which may significantly improve the performance when working with chord pro files).

Thanks for the prompt reply Mike (as ever!). That’s great news on the extra chordpro additions.

It was a PDF file I was editing, but the selection that included the annotation was a blank area of the PDF, so there was nothing to copy. I tested the snipping tool with some bars from the PDF and they copied fine of course.

Thanks again
