I seem to recall in recent weeks someone posted about reducing thE size of a pdf to make it easier to load on MS.
I have done a search and can't find the item.
Apologies, can anyone enlighten me?
I have a problem with some bigger pdf's loading slowly.

It rather depends on what software you might already have as to how much you can reduce the fie size. Personally, I use Systools PDF Toolbox, which can do a wonderful job - but it is not very cheap at $70 *.
To give you some idea of what it can do, using Acrobat 8, I reduced the size of a 509kB file to 437 kB. The Systools software took it down to 43 Kb, while retaining legibility. Actually, I can get it down to 34kB, but it does start to lose a bit too much quality at that level.
* You can download a 'free trial' version, which will put a watermark on every page you put through it, but it is a small block of text in the top left hand corner of the page and unlikely to interfere with most scores - try and see if works for you.
