MobileSheetsPro supports a number of source types. Most of these are clear to me, but what is the intended difference between 'Charts' and 'Chords'?

Many of the terms musicians use are interchangeable and not particularly well-defined

.
In this particular case, I would consider a ¡chart' to have at least the top line and chord sequence (a la a fakebook) - many would think it should be the whole score. 'Chords' would be a display showing chords only.
Personally, I tend to use the term 'chart' for everything, no matter how it is formatted - mainly because I dislike the MS term 'Songs'.

"Source Types" is one of the database fields I use the most - for almost all entries I defined my own terms

This is how I currently use it:
LeadSheets: Typically generated by Chordii
Lyrics: Same as LeadSheets, but without the chords
Sheet Music: Musical scores as generated by LilyPond
Chords: Structured chord charts as generated by Playtab
Charts: Special mnemonical charts for songs I know how to play but occasionally I need a hint
Tab: Tab notated songs

We all can use our own definitions. Here's what I use:
LeadSheets - contain melody(only) in standard notation, along with lyrics and typically contains chords above staff as well. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lead_sheet
Lyrics: Lyrics only (text)
Sheet Music. Musical Scores (except Orchestra Scores - see below)
Chords: Text and Chords - What sciurius calls a LeadSheet.
Charts: Chord only notation - What sciurius calls Chords.
Tab: Tab notated songs.
I've also added:
Orchestral Score: Full orchestra score, containing all instruments. This is what the Conductor of an orchestra would typically use.
