I'm not sure where to look for USB drivers for my Hannspree 13.3" tablet to make a USB connection with Companion.

Have you tried just connecting to the mini USB OTG socket. Not sure why, but there are two mini USB sockets but both work on mine.

I had to spend some time to access mass storage mode. There was some setting I had to change that was not intuitive, but i don't have time to figure it out now (maybe a, advanced setting for developers). Once I changed that, I was able to access mass storage mode.
Maybe google about mass storage for android devices and you might find it.
BUT, the Companion works best through wifi. I would try to get that running (then you would not use the USB connection)
