I've just noticed if you use two page view, link behaviour is different to Android version. In Android, if link was on second/right page, it gets activated with next pedal press. In Windows 10 version, you need to load another page, so page with link gets to first/left position and only now next pedal press activates the link.

I just went back through the code and there several sections of code that didn't get copied over from Android (I most likely copied and earlier version of code and didn't update it on the Windows side). Thanks for letting me know.
