MobileSheets v2.9 and MobileSheets Companion v1.2.7 Released
#1
Another round of updates with some minor changes to address some recent user feature requests, as well as my own dissatisfaction with the current pinch zoom responsiveness. Annotations has been pushed back until the next update, as I'm still hard at work on them.

Here are the changes:

MobileSheets v2.9
- Added ability to load random song by selecting the '?' character on the library screen
- Zooming is now disabled while the performance mode is active.
- Zooming on the edges of the screen is now ignored
- The zoom value is now shown in the center of the screen while pinch zooming
- Improved the responsiveness and accuracy of the pinch zooming
- Fixed various crash reports.
- The number of items displayed on the library screen is now shown at the top.

MobileSheets Companion v1.2.7
- Added a ton of error handling/checks during batch import. It should no longer cause crashes, and errors will now be displayed.

Enjoy!

Just finished updating to 2.9 and wanted to say thank you so much. I love it. One of the things I was wanting really bad was a total tablature count so that I would know how many songs I had loaded without counting them each time....and then the improvement on the zooming in and out is sooooooooo much better.

Thank you again for all the hard work.

Thank you so much for the feedback David! I really didn't want to wait for the annotations update to release these changes. I was up pretty late getting the update prepared, but it's all worth it knowing my users appreciate the effort.

Just updated myself. Working fine.

Zooming works better, but, you know, I found the original way it worked to be more intuitive, i.e. the pinch controlled the size of the blue rectangle directly. It seems backwards now, even though I understand the correlation to the pinch zoom on images. Maybe a configuration setting to let us switch it to work the way we like best?

Appreciate the effort, well done...

Seems to work well and I like the numbers. My preference is that pushing fingers together makes the image smaller etc. Don't recall how it works now but that seems to be how most apps work. It should be consistent with other apps to avoid confusion.

User choices in preferences is also a good idea.

Yes, giving the user a choice is best.

The reason I like it better the other way, is because of the very visible rectangle that moves in response to your fingers. It feels like you are controlling the size of that rectangle when you pinch-zoom, so when the rectangle moves the opposite way, it feels wrong to me, despite the result being that the page gets larger as you pinch your fingers together, since that happens after the fact, not as you are moving your fingers.

I can always add an option to invert the pinch zoom, so that it can work either way. I'll look into this later.

As for the rectangle versus a real-time zoom, I'm working on adding the real-time zoom, but I'm trying to make sure it performs well (i.e. is very fast). It will most likely be a low quality zoom while you are actively zooming, and when you release, it does a high quality zoom. Perhaps I will make this an option too (rectangle versus real-time). When this is released, It will coincide with being able to positional zoom (instead of being locked to the center). This all will come after annotations though.
