Embedded YouTube video in posts

Is it possible to embed YouTube video in the post on MS forum?
There is an icon to "Insert a video" while creating a post but there is always an error:
This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue.

I could see embedded videos with old Internet Explorer 11 but not using Chrome or the Edge on Windows.

Actually I'd like to know that too.  The same with "insert image" icon, it prompts for a link but the image is not inserted in the post, only a little generic placeholder ...
like this:  [Image: image.jpg?dl=0]

The only way is to insert them as attachments.

I'm using MyBB for the forums, so I'm not sure what would have to be changed to support those things. I just use the default configuration for the most part. I'll try to find some time to see if there is anything I can adjust for that, but if it's not built into the standard forum software, then I won't be able to support it.

I realize that it's probably  something you cannot fix ...  I wonder if it also happens in other forums.

It sounds like there's a setting that needs to be disabled ...

I've modified my server configuration to allow youtube videos to be embedded in posts now. I also seem to be able to embed images, for example:

Mmm, I saw your picture.  I've tried inserting a video and it works now,  but I'm trying to insert a picture and I still can't ...
See below.   If you right click and copy the link address, it's a valid address but it doesn't render. (My Dropbox public folder)

However, I copied the source link of your image and it inserts fine:   [Image: cort-acoustic-guitar-3.jpg]

So does another random mage from google:  [Image: 61L0UlhXIoL._AC_SL1050_.jpg]

I've also tried to insert from my Google Drive with read permissions an I also get this:  [Image: view?usp=sharing]
So it seems related to Dropbox or Drive but not sure how ...
Actually, pasting the links of Dropbox and Google Drive directly in a browser, they render the images fine but not here ...

'Insert an image' prompts initially with https but I've tried both ways ... Huh

I still don't know what's up with the image linked through Dropbox not working correctly, but I fixed the youtube video in your post by allowing more exceptions on my web server.

Looks like there is a trick to it. If I insert your image as:

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&...m2-6d5x56H

[Image: uc?export=view&id=1PPTMpPQv8xk79JnLhb_Ahzm2-6d5x56H]

You can see that it works. I'll have to see what is required for Dropbox. To summarize, for Google Drive files, you need to start it with https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id= and place the ID directly after. So your original link was:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PPTMpPQ...sp=sharing

but you need to change it to

https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1PPTMpPQv8xk79JnLhb_Ahzm2-6d5x56H

Is video link/embedding is breaking the forum's operating?
