I have MobileSheetsFree on my Fire 8 tablet and can't seem to get a USB connection with my desktop. I've downloaded the drivers and gone to 'developer options' as instructed. The instructions say to, on the tablet, go to the 'connection' screen. I don't seem to have one of those nor any of the other things described in the instructions. Could this be something typical of Fire tablets? I can move files directly from my PC to tablet via USB without using the Companion but would like to get the app working as it should.

Is there a reason you need to use the USB connection through the companion app? It's much simpler to just use WiFi and doesn't require having to get specific drivers. Did you install the universal ADB drivers as recommended in the companion guide on connecting over USB?

Wi Fi would be simpler I suppose. I'll see if I can figure that out. My tablet and desktop are on the same network. Seems like I need a wifi adapter to make it work. I think I have one and will give it a try
