New user, so sorry if this is stupid.  But i can't seem to figure out what is meant by SCROLLING .. and yes I read pages 94-96 of manual. 

Ex.  I have a 2 page chart. I was expecting that it would somehow actually  physically SCROLL vertically by a line or several at a time based on what I tell the scroll options. I set the values , click on START SCROLLING, but nothing happens until suddenly it jumps to page 2. Of course the timing is off if I'm trying to play the piece.. either I'm not ready or it's too late. Is it really supposed to actually move/scroll? Or just suddenly jump to next page?

Are there some detail examples here that someone can refer me to?

This tutorial discusses the different display modes, and the one you want is the vertical scrolling display mode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_8GXnlNfm0

First watch around 0:30 until you can see how to change the display mode. The vertical scrolling display mode is discussed at 5:07. If you switch to that display mode, then you can scroll vertically like you are expecting. If you use the automatic scrolling with the single page display mode like you are doing now, it will only turn pages as the page can't be scrolled. If you rotate to landscape, then it will both scroll and turn pages.
