Just purchase the MS pro and I would like to know if there's a way to send and receive midi commands by bluetooth or wifi direct
Could be very useful to sync different tablets of a band
Mike, can you please describe what is supposed to happen with the different Extract options when you have loaded a backup file into Companion and do not have it connected to the tablet.
In the manual, it says you can select a bunch of files and then extract them - so far, I have failed to make this work, it just extracts the first file of the selected group. Also, if there are associated audio files it can't extract them and just throws up an error message.
There are some other oddities, which are anything but intuitive. For example, I select a Collection that has only one chart in it. Hitting 'extract all' appears to do just that - it rushes off and seems to extract every chart I have. Since there are some 2,000, I have never let it run its course to see if that is the case, but just exited the program. It seems to me that 'extract all' should really only refer to the displayed charts (say, from a collection or setlist) not everything that's in the backup.
Hi Mike-I'm still getting this on the latest update:
An odd one, if I go into the midi tab to change the program # when I go to save it I get the following message. "failed to update database. You may need to fully close the app and restart." If I hit ok on the message and rehit the ok tab at the top right it will work. I just get that message every time.
Using half page mode, if I load a two (or more) page chart and then do a page turn (so that the first half of the following page is displayed) and then I hit the return, to take me back to the main page (in my case this is the Setlist page, but the problem seems to occur in all the main windows) followed by re-loading the chart, it goes to where I left it, not to the top of the chart.
More importantly, if I load a different chart - even a single page one - then that is only shown as half a page and I have to hit a back page turn to show the complete page.
Not quite sure what is happening here, but it obviously has something to do with the half page mode as everything else seems to work OK.
I had a zoom set for all or most songs in the original MS, which seems to have gotten lost in the transfer. Auto-cropping the page fixes the view on most of the pages. But there's 100's of songs.
Any thoughts about a way to speed up or automate autocropping all songs in the database?
Or, a way to accomplish autocrop on all pages as a part of a Restore from an msb file, using Companion?
Or to carry forward the old zoom setting from original to Pro?
I miss the zoom setting slider, and the precision of entering the exact % zoom, that Original had. There is so much better about Pro, but that was nice.
thx
Tonight I tried to launch MobileSheetsPro and get the popup:
"Beta Expired. This beta installer has expired. If this is during an active beta, please check for the forums for information."
I thought I had the most recent beta. But since I can't bring it up I can't check.
When i try to reinstall the latest -- which I think is 1.2.3(24) from March 29, it wants to download and save a ... video????
My screen turns upside down and it wants me to "Save Video as ... HDV_1429669093443.mp4"
I had no MobilesheetsPro for my jam tonight!
How can I get it back?
If I uninstall and reinstall, how can I keep my current database? I backed it up a week or so ago but would prefer to
get it back as is.
I thought I had setup MS pro to store everything on the external SD card but I have noticed that everything but the Audio files are stored on the external SD card. Looks like all of the audio files are being stored in the "Music" folder that is local to the tablet.
My current settings:
I have "Let Mobile sheets Manage my Files checked.
"Set the Mobile Sheets Storage location" is set to /storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilsheetspro/files
"Copy Audio files" is checked
"Create subdirectories for Songs" is checked.
So when looking at the folders, most everything is stored in the /storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.zubersoft.mobilsheetspro/files, but all of the audio (mp3, mid, etc) are being stored on the local "Music" folder.
Everything was added using the Mobile Sheets pro Companion running on windows 7.
So, my question is how do I get the audio files to reside on the external card and is there any way to have MS Pro relocate to the external sd card location without having to move each one separately? (I have about 100 songs so far)
I've been a mobile sheets user for a couple of years now. While fantastic to use live, it was a bit clunky to setup and maintain. Well worth the effort mind you but I kept having to think about how to accomplish stuff...it's workflow didn't match mine. Then enter MobileSheets Pro:

In the imortal words of Frank Barone . . .
...it's what I keep finding myself saying as I dig deeper and deeper into all the new features.
Literally every quirk and non-intuitive {at least to me} way of doing things has been resolved. It is such a pleasure to navigate through now. Plus, the chordPro support is a real game changer! </blatantFanBoyMode>

Collections tab
Tap New from the Action bar
Enter some text
The editor will open, but its action bar may be missing
(If you have been in Collections and editing for a while, it will appear, so if there is no fault, you will have to do some other things first.) Hopefully you can find this, although only a minor problem.
