I don't want to disable it completely, as I do use it when rehearsing on my own, but at group rehearsals it's just in the way, and it is annoying to have to close it every time I turn to a new song. I've spent an hour searching through all the settings, and can't figure it out. How do I make it stay hidden unless summoned? If I want the damned thing, I'll click on the icon at the bottom of my screen.

Bring up the Audio Player and tap the gear Icon in the upper right. There you have the settings you are looking for.

Thank you! I didn't realize that "fade after 5 seconds" included "and don't come back." I'm not sure I see the point of a 5 second fade, but it seems to do what I wanted it to do, so all is well.
