Has anyone tried this option with a 13 inch tablet? http://www.amazon.com/Stagg-MUS-ARM-Atta...pd_cp_MI_0

Thanks for the idea and the link, but I think you still have to "modify" it to be shure that your heavy tablet won´t tip over.

I use a Hannspree 13" tablet (which is great with Music Sheets). But none of the tablet-to-mic-stand holders are big enough. Moreover, I play piano and often have to use whatever instrument is available at a gig. Most acoustic pianos hold it just fine (including my Kawai), but some don't.

I keep a roll of 1" blue painter's tape in my kit. This is low residue tape, and has always solved the problem of the tablet sliding off the piano.

I play an electric piano/organ with a symphony orchestra, and the tablet fits fine on a regular orchestra music stand. A chorus I accompany has a Roland electric piano with a plastic music stand that bolts on top; it is too slippery for the tablet, and I use the tape to hold it.

I use the stand at http://www.almightstand.com. It's universal, and works well, even with the cover on because my cover flap has magnets, and they help it stay put.

I ended up using a standard heavy duty stand, which also allows me to have a small mixer to hand as well (as I usually have three instruments to control).  Details here - http://zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/forum/...p?tid=1672

I think my main point was, if you already have a stand that is substantial enough to hold a large and heavy tablet (and many will have) there is no need to spend another 40 or 50 $/£ .

I have a Tab3 and when it is in it's leather cover, no way it slips of my stand (I have a quite large, stable stand) I guess a larger galaxy Note 12 inch would also stand fine on it.. But the leather cover is a must, the straight edges work as anti slip.

So I do not feel the need for a special tablet stand right now.
Kind regards, Marco

I use a K&M universal so I don't have to use an extra stand. Cleaner stage. Works well for my Note 10.1 and could hold larger tabs.

Yes, I use it with a Note 12.2 and it works fine.
A little bit expensive, but good.

I used to use the K&M.  But, it is not big enough for many of the 13 inch tablets.  And, maybe because I used it with a tablet that just barely fit it (the, now discontinued, Toshiba Excite 13"), I felt if you just touched it, it would break down into its various piaces (causing the tablet to fall).  I am happy with this (pretty much just a smaller version of a regular music stand):  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OR7...UTF8&psc=1

Lots has been sayed here about stands, tough i like to share the setup that works for me,
the http://produkte.k-m.de/en/product?info=1...5047cf9673 tablet holder is one of the few holders wide enough for my 12" Surface pro3,

I removed the back cover of the holder and turned the whole thing 1 quarter anti clock wise. Now the side holder is under the tablet.
Eventually I ended up removing the sideholder because it got in the way of the USB connection which i use for my USB Pedal.

This holder can be used with any straight Mic stand, but I fancy this one: http://store.airturn.com/gostand-portabl...let-stand/
The Gostand is the smallest foldeble stand i could find.

As a add-on I removed the top of a cheap music stand thad I had, an welded a adapter like http://www.thomann.de/gb/km_216_reduziergewinde.htm so i can screw this on the mic-stand,
now im always flexible to use either the tablet or paper music. (I had to use this adapter since the Airturn gostand has a 5/8" connection)

All this i can simply hold in one 13" Tablet Backpack like the http://www.thule.com/en/bg/products/bags...5854229729
Surface 3 Pro i5
Airturn Ped
Olds Recording & Super Trombone
