Same issue here, also on the Boox Tab X.
Did some experimenting with the settings, and it seems the 'Stylus mode' is indeed the culprit.
Interesting fact: during my fiddling, at some point I was able to keep annotating while in 'stylus mode'. This happened once when I restarted the app with stylus mode disabled, then enabled stylus mode, after which a crash did occur. But a few seconds later it recovered by itself and then I could keep writing/drawing (in stylus mode, so with no latency). This happened only once, though, and I am unable to reproduce it. (No idea if this is helpful in any way
).
That said, with 'stylus mode' disabled it seems the app remains stable (but there is latency then, obviously).
The other annotation settings don't seem to be causing any trouble (I think I tried all of them).
If you have a (possible) solution, such as the updated library version, I'd be happy to test it.
