Metadata not importing
#1
Mobilesheets 3.8.43. MobileSheets Companion 3.2.0.

On Windows 11, I used exiftool to add the metadata Artist.

exiftool -Artist=testartist "99 years.pdf"

Then, displaying the metadata with exiftool shows that it worked:

exiftool "99 years.pdf"

I run the Mobilesheets Companion, connect my android tablet, and import that file. The Artist field is still blank. What am I doing wrong?

The current version of the companion app doesn't support extracting metadata from PDFs. That is only support when importing on the tablet itself. The next update of the companion app is significant, as I've rewritten the application using a different framework, and as part of this, I've added code to extract PDF metadata (I still need to test this, as I'm using a different library for it as my current PDF library only works in UWP applications).

Thanks. I will use the direct import in future.
