Hi Mike,

my "working place" for Mobilesheets is a Windows Laptop, here I do all the contents/settings maintenance.
The regular library backup file is copied to Android devices and restored there. They "only" serve as display devices.
I would like to add my iPhone to this group of "end user" devices and wonder whether "Restore Library from Backup" would work equally smooth on the iPhone (as it does on Android)?
Haven't purchased the iOS MS license yet but will if this workflow is supported.

Yes it will.
I use MS on all 3 supported platforms in the same way as you are describing. 
Windows as master. Restoring backups from Windows to Android and iOs

Yes, as Rudy/Rey_a mentioned, restoring the backup file on your iPhone will work without any issues.
