Please do not post the same thing multiple times, as you mentioned that already before: https://www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/f...12120.html

I updated the underlying Microsoft Word file to reflect what you have said, but I have not produced and uploaded a new PDF for the help file on my server. Also, the current translation does not reflect your suggestion. The term "fragments" is used in the French translation, not "Extraits", so it seems like that would cause confusion.

Extract and fragments are synonyms

Fragment:
Piece of something that has been broken, shattered.
The fragments of a vase, a statue.

Extract:
A passage taken from a book, writing, speech, film, etc.

Synonym: extract, quotation, fragment, piece, page, passage.

So much for the French language, which has several synonyms for the same word, depending on the meaning we want to give it. In our case, EXTRAIT is the best possible translation.

Just to verify, should I switch every usage of fragment in the current French translation with extrait then?

It all depends on the meaning of the sentence, and yes, French is a very rich and complex language - it's not the language of Moliere for nothing!  As far as the SNIPPET translation is concerned, yes.
