Running companion on Mac
#1
Has anyone managed to get Companion running via Wine?

Tried for a couple
Le of hours without success. Would like to run companion but don't fancy buying windows and parallels to get it to work.

Thanks

Paul

I did on linux. Had to install a couple of other apps also to get it to work though. I don't know if you need something like them or not. I googled for help when I couldn't get WINE to work initially.

Found a solution. There is a free version of windows. Windows 7 starter. I have bought parallels and all is running well. For anyone who qualifies there is an academic version of parallels which is £35. So it's too expensive a solution.

Companion works on my macbook air. Choose in winebottler the option to install dotnet40 as well. Just once I've got an error run32.dll couldn't been found. I ignored that error.
