Synchronization problem using 2 tablets
#1
Hello

I face a synchronizaition abort doing synchro between my two google pixel slate tablets.

- I made a full data backup, reinstalled the app on both devices, loaded the backup on one device and tried to synchronize. The following errors occured:

"File for transmission cannot be created: /data/user/0/com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro/cache/temp-mobilesheets.db"
"Data base version 0 received, expected is 61. All devices have to use the same version of MobileSheets. Synchronization ist stopped&8230;"

For error #8230 I cannont find that much threads...?

Thank you for your feedback! - Kind regards,
Alexander

That is a translation file error (the 8230). There should be a ... at the end which is normally represented by …, but the entry was incorrect in some translations, so I've fixed it for the next update.

As far as the issue, can you please go to Settings->About on each device and verify that you have version 3.9.7 installed? if so, can you please create the library backup on one device under Settings->Backup and Restore->Backup Library and restore that on the other device under Settings->Backup and Restore->Restore Library from Backup? Then you should have no issues synchronizing after that.

Hi Mike

Thank you for your quick response.

- Checked: both devices are on 3.9.7 - I did a full backup and then uninstalled the app on both devices. Then I  reinstalled it on this newest version. Then I did the recovery from the backup on both devices (not a synchro from the backup). Both devices work flawlessly in the bluethooth connection mode.

- But synchro is still aborted with the named error.

Are you synchronizing over bluetooth or WiFi? You really should only attempt to synchronize over WiFi. Bluetooth is only there as a fallback, but I'm strongly considering removing it altogether as bluetooth is horrible for large file transfers.

So far I only have the Bluetooth synchronization running (also for the two side connection mode). The wifi does not show the second tablet and also the direct connection with the given IP does not find a connection. I have two different wifi networks/SSIDs. No connection in any of them.

Bluetooth syncing has taken some time as I have a library of 1710 tracks/files - but it has worked for over four years.
I think maybe I'll try installing sync via the cloud? Master tablet to the cloud and then down to the second tablet. That would then run over wifi of course.

Definitely see if synchronizing over the cloud works. If it does, it points to a potential issue with data corruption over Bluetooth or something along those lines.
