AutoPlay entire Set List
#1
Question
Hello! I have been trying for weeks to figure this out, to no avail: How do I get a Set List to AutoPlay? I need to automatically play the next song after a song finishes.

I've spent hours toying with the AutoScroll function, all manners of settings, and I just can't figure it out.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it IMMENSELY! Yes, there are workarounds for this, but I already have hundreds of songs and dozens of different Set Lists that I would love to be able to simply hit Play and have the entire list play, like a playlist in Spotify.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

You can first switch to the vertical scrolling display mode (https://youtu.be/V_8GXnlNfm0), set up automatic scrolling for each song in the setlist, check the option to scroll continuously between songs, and start automatic scrolling either through the overlay or through a touch/pedal/midi action. Let me know if you need additional instructions for any of this.

Hi Mike,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply, and I apologize for not seeing it sooner!

I tried implementing the steps you described, but I'm having some trouble with Automatic Scrolling. I have everything in Vertical Display Mode, but when I start Automatically Scrolling it doesn't fully play through each song. It scrolls (too) quickly to the end of the current song and then cuts to the next song in the setlist, before the current song finishes.

I would love it if the song could scroll at a rate corresponding with the song's full (audio) duration, then go on to the next song after the current song is completely done.

Is this possible?

Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Wendy,

Unless you checked the "Scroll continuously between songs in setlists" checkbox, MobileSheets should never scroll past the end of one song into the next. It should stop on the last page. So you'll need to uncheck that if you accidentally checked it. You can use the "Scroll Entire Song in Fixed Time" option to scroll the entire song based on the audio file duration. I think that should match what you are asking for.

Happy New Year to you as well!

Thanks, Mike!

If I select "Scroll Entire Song in Fixed Time", do I have to go into each song and manually enter its duration? I would always like that Total Duration to equal the total length of the song's audio file. I have hundreds of songs of varying lengths, so it would be a huge project to manually enter the audio file length into the Total Duration field for my entire library.

The other challenge is I would like the playlist to continue on and begin the next song, not stop on the last page.

That way, I can stroll away from my "home base", and if I don't make it back before the song ends, my playlist would begin the next song automatically.

Is this possible?

Thanks again!

Yes, you do need to enter the duration for each song, as the duration would be different for every song. There isn't an option to tie together that duration with the total combined duration of all audio tracks in the song. That would be a separate feature I would have to add.

If you want the scrolling to switch between songs, then enable the option I mentioned (Scroll continuously between songs in setlists). Then you should get a continuous scroll without any delay.
