Automatic Update
#1
I am using the flatpak version of the companion on Fedora Linux. A few days ago I was prompted an update, but automatic updating did not work. I had a quick look into the console and saw a error that "gnome-terminal" could not be called.

In the end I think it is not so easy to fix this, because it also depends, if the flatpak is installed system-wide (which would need additional rights for the update) or only in the user directory. The "linux" way would probably be to publish the flatpak (and updates) on flathub.org, but I can understand, that it probably is not worth your limited time for such a tiny userbase using this package.

In the end for me personally it is absolutely not a problem: If I get the update-notification I just download the new flatpak and install it manually. A pragmatic solution could be to just disable automatic updating and only show an update notification.

I'm not going to publish the companion app on flathub.org - it seems like it would be a considerable amount of work for little gain. The current automatic update method seemed to work for me though - so as you mentioned, it may just depend on how each user has set things up. I can consider adding an option to disable automatic updates on Linux though, and show the status about an update in a different fashion.
