Managing 2 groups, I have the problem of having different databases. Sheets are different, one is Country, other is Soul-Blues-Jazz. It is really appreciate to have two (or more) configurations.
Could you accept to start two instances with a parameter for the database ?
In Windows or Linux environnement it is common to have à launch parameter. Could you simpli add this feature ?
"MobileSheet.exe /file= C:\Data\MobileSheet\Country"
"MobileSheet.exe /file= C:\Data\MobileSheet\Blues"
Etc...
This would solve the problem of having more than one band... ?
Another elegant solutions is to have differents profiles, like in Outlook, but probabily more difficult to implement ?

I already support having different libraries (which are different databases) which you can change under Settings->Library Settings->Switch Library. As mentioned in other parts of the forum, I will be adding options to switch the library (and see which is active) directly on the library screen soon.

Hi, thanks, that would be a real improvement.

A potential alternative:
- load all the music for both groups into the same mobilesheets library.
- add a couple fields to the 'Collections' tab. ('_Country', '_Soul-Blues-Jazz') The space at the beginning keeps them at the top of the list (easy to find).
- set the 'Collections' tab to be the default when mobilesheets starts. (Settings > Initial Library Tab)
- assign all songs in the database to one, the other, or both collections.
This gets you something similar to separate libraries without having to commit to one or the other.

Yes, great idea, like using "Collection" for Groups.
But : the "Collection" do not work like a Setlist.
The setlist can move form one to ohter sheet (left right) easilly, but collection need come back to le "Collection list" to open the other one...

By the way : Collection is "masculin" word in French : You should translate it by "Nouvelle collection" not "Nouveau collection"...
Your idea is quite good: group everything in the same database. Collection could be used to separate the destinations.
The setlist mechanisms should be the same for collections, and it would be necessary to be able to export or save (backup) only one collection. It seems simpler to me to create a "profile." It's the most logical method: at startup, it's a choice. Perhaps with the option of changing along the way, but with more problems.
I think a "Change Profile" menu would really be a good solution. There's little point in mixing scores between profiles.
Currently, in "paper" mode, they are separate folders. Some scores are duplicated, but it's rare for them to remain identical between music groups.
One time your profiles is "Musical director" next time "Player"
Two jobs two profiles
and : PLEASE, IF ONLY ONE PROFILE EXIST : no question, dont add complity for musicians

I'm not going to add a "profile" type feature - I'm going to expand the current "Switch Library" feature, but that is all that is planned. The two accomplish the exact same goal though. I responded to your other thread about the issue with the translation.

Yes, thanks, it's true that both solutions could work, just try to find an easy solution to switch from one to the other.
Just above "Synchronize biblio" you could add "Switch Biblio"
Please, if you work on : after "Set Activ"
1) remove all confimations
2) display active biblio in the Main Windows Bar (side Mobilesheet)
That's the solution I just discovered
And it works well and clear...

I performed som reorganisation in my library, using "Librairy change"
I found a bug :If you restore a library without parameters, the import erase and replace "at the moment active librairy" That's OK for me.
If you set "Restore parameters" and the library do not exist, the program create a Librairy with the name, but do not restore first time : you'll have message "Link to file failed".
If you restore with parameters ans the library alleready exist, th corect librairy is updated.
It is verry dangerous : I have many library, but à musician receiving a backup probably have only "Default Librairy".
It this musician select "Restore parameters", he will have now 2 librairy, but partial, and wil not understant why...
Thanks for readding
