Hello
Currently, the titles of the collections are presented sequentially. If, for example, I have sheets for alto saxophone, trombone and euphonium that concern different styles of music, I am required to create a collection for each type of instruments and/or music type. Thus, the list grows longer and there can be confusion due to the proximity of titles.
Would it be possible to implement a sub-collection system (a single level would probably be sufficient), in the idea 'folder' -> 'subfolders'? The first level could be used as it is now for those who are satisfied with it, but could also include a subfolder in which sheets could be placed.

Don't know if Mike will put this on his todo list, but with the current implementation I would simply rename the collections like sheets-alto sheets-trombone and so on to have them grouped alphabetically.
They can be easily navigated to with the sidebar or filtered if the amount is too big to scroll throug it.

Hi Miko_fr,
I assume you've considered using the "Genre" filter?
You're only paranoid if you're wrong

I'm using an Onyx Boox Tab X, and play low brass: mainly 'Bone and Tuba

The only change I'm considering is having lists of setlists, and maybe lists of collections (that one is still under consideration). I'm not going to have lists of every group type though, as that would just create too many tabs. I am going to use completely independent tabs for lists of setlists and collections, because it would be too problematic to try to modify the current tabs to support grouping.

Hello Mike
Thanks you for your reply.
I didn't see this as a tab form, but it wouldn't be a problem. The essential thing is to be able to classify collections in a main folder and the corresponding collections so as not to have too large a list of collections on the summary page.
On the other hand, I think the number of tabs could only be limited by the width of the page.

Both the folder/subfolder and a naming scheme like instrument_style have the same disadvantage: you have to decide which one is first and which one is second. If you create a collection per instrument and put the style into genres it is more flexible: you can filter by genres, by collection and by both.

I have the custom group labeled as 'Instrument' and each instrument shown in a particular song as a separate entry in the field. I also filled out the genre data for each song. This makes it so that for me to find a group of songs for a specific instrument and genre I can go to the Instrument tab, select the instrument and the filter the list by genre or I can go to the Genres tab, select a genre and filter by instrument.
If you wanted to use the custom group for something else, you could assign instruments to the Collections field. Then to find a particular instrument/genre group you would go to the Collections tab, select the instrument and filter by genre or go to the Genres tab, select the genre and filter by collection (instrument).
