What do you play?
I'm a woodwind specialist, getting my doctorate in Oboe performance with a cognate in multiple woodwind performance. So..the list is...
Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, English horn, Clarinet (Eb, Bb, A and Alto), Bassoon, Saxophone (Sop. Alto and Tenor), and Alto and Soprano recorders. Oddly enough, I also play Violin/Viola a lot in chamber music.
I play the mountain dulcimer, ukelele, and piano. I belong to the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society and we jam weekly and play gigs at churches, retirement homes, and anywhere anyone asks us to play! You have to put a time limit on us because we will play for ever. There are four of us dulcimer gals who play the uke. We are the Ukeladys. We are not good enough (yet) to go gigs!
Another newbie (to digital music). I'm a flutist.
Electric guitar in a mostly Rock'n Roll band. Got the idea to use a tablet from our bassist (who plays professionally in one of Austria's top country&western bands), who uses a similar app on his iPad.
I'm more comfortable with Android.
Guitar goes into Line6 Pod xt and into the mixer, I hear my guitar sound over the monitor.
Trumpet over here!

If you don't mind me asking: what other kinds of trumpet are there?
The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, they say....

It was more of a distinction of my job rather than the type of trumpet I play, sorry for the confusion!
I hadn't read through this thread in a while and just thought I'd say how cool it is to see all the various kinds of musicians!!
~got the blues in my shoes~
I mostly hang out here.
Im a pianist and keyboarder and play rock and country and whatever else i like at the time, all for fun and enjoyment. I will be travelling in a motorhome so Im glad this app and forum is available so I dont have to carry my bag of music with me . Looking foreward to using the app and converting my music.
Well, I haven't seen one listed here yet - I play a Yamaha WX5 midi wind controller. I am a full time minister of music, and MS has become a live saver for me! I also play alto sax in our state men's choir/orchestra. The process is taking some time, but I eventually hope to have my entire music library on my tablet. My next purchase will be a set of pedals. I just can't decide which ones to get!
I am playing electronic drums, but mainly use Mobilesheets as Choir leader and for singing.
In our family and choir, we also use it for trumpet and french horn and saxophone and voice.
I play Clarinet and Bass Clarinet for a local volunteer orchestra and on the side in a Clarinet quartet. I have just start getting into Kindermusik to teach to children the love of music. I have Mobilesheets on my Nexus 10 and I love them both!!!
I mostly play double bass although I started with bass guitar and guitar in the 60s. I also dabble with the mandolin and have been learning the fiddle for the past two years. I play with several bands and every sort of music from Old Timey to Big Band Jazz. My set lists, sheet music and chord chart collection is barely under control.

I like Mobilesheets very much and am slowly moving over to it. My cheapo tablet and charger are not very reliable and I've had to revert to paper at two gigs. I find a 10" tablet a bit small. I would prefer to have A3 size in landscape but that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Based on what I've seen so far, I'm not a big fan of Android, but I don't want to put too many eggs into the Apple basket. I have had to resort to a factory reset of my tablet after the browser started to crash every time I used it.
Sounds to me like you need to buy a decent tablet and then reassess an up-to-date version of Android. Smile
