My tablet crashed, literally, broken screen and no replacement available. I purchased a cheap HP Stream 14" laptop on black Friday, $140 U$. but could not get the midi link to load the keyboard setting. This is a function I value so much, (when a song is selected on Mobilesheets, the Korg  songbook loads the keyboard resources via a midi link so playing is seamless) Mike recommended a Roland USB-Midi adapter, which works flawlessly. 
Terrific support, I'm one happy customer!

I can confirm that using a roland um-1 mk2 works with my Korg Pa700.
I tried everything to get my Laptop to talk to the Korg with no success.
I also tried using a USB Hub and the Korg was recognised and installed the Korg Driver but it still didn't work.
It works perfectly with the roland um-1 mk2
My only problem now is I use Midi Bass Pedals with my Korg PA700 and I don't have anywhere to plug the roland um-1 mk2 into 
So I have Midi Merge Box coming so I can plug two Midi inputs into one

Thanks for sharing Andy! For users with more complex routing needs, devices like the mio2 or mioXM are great options. I purchased the mioXM for both testing multiple MIDI devices over USB at once and testing MIDI over WiFi (so that I can eventually support that in MobileSheetsPro) and it's been really reliable so far.

Hi Mike. I hope this message finds you. I have the MioXC, but the midi cables are very fragile. So I want to buy a more solid version; the mioXM.
May I ask how you connect your tablet with the MobileSheets app to the mioXM: Do you connect at the front side (USB Type B 2.0) or at the back-side (USB type A 2.0) ?

You would want to use the back side (USB-A). The front side is for connecting to your PC if you want to run the Auracle X software to configure the MIDI routing. Definitely get familiar with that software though, as it's important in order to ensure things are routed the way you want. There's lots of pretty amazing things you can do with the mioXM including connecting over WiFi with rtpMIDI (on an iPad or using rtpMIDI on Windows https://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html) or connecting over bluetooth with devices that don't normally support bluetooth if you use something like a WIDI Jack on the keyboard and a WIDI Master on the mioXM (https://zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/accessories/ has the WIDI Master listed).

Thank you Mike. Yes, rtpMIDI seems to work while connected to a computer. I see all the MobileSheet program-changes/CC and Syst.Excl. messages coming through! Wow, this opens a new world for me.

My gig is at the end of January, I hope I have enough time to find out if this is reliable. The alternative is 5Meter USB cable, now I know where to connect it.
